Fair Weekend

You know it is a good sign when the weekend starts on Thursday!  Kael, Silas, and Barak walked in the Pet and Doll Parade.  This was our first time participating because we always seen to be out of town.  Kael dressed up as a spiky haired, sword wielding, super hero and Silas was a ninja with a hammer.  No matter what I said he insisted on a hammer rather than a sword!

Barak was the only pony sized pet!
We visited all the 4-H animals and free games at the fair the first day.  They had some awesome games for kids!

And then on Friday we rode the rides.  This fair was perfect for the boys.  All of the rides were perfect for their age!

On Saturday the boys ran their first one-mile race!  It was so fun for me!  Kael ran with one of the girls I coached in track, so that he could head out faster than Silas and I.  Kael won the boys 7 and and under division with a time of 9:16!  Silas finished with a time of 13:13 and I only helped out through 4 blocks!

After the race we went to the parade and collected more candy than on Halloween!  We filled the cookie jar!  (it may start disappearing by handfuls into the trash! ;))  I heard some people called it the candy parade and it truly was.

Boys Room

After planning and painting and decorating, I bravely moved my boys to there new room downstairs.  It has been a couple of weeks and they are doing great!  Here are some pictures of the decor! Thank you dear sister for helping me tackle this task.  It would have taken FOREVER without you!  All of the walls are a creamy beige color called chamois, the trim is white, and the desk cubby is a bright blue (I can't remember the name!)

Weekend Fun in Our Small Town

Our town had a little artwalk down mainstreet with a jump house, kid train, dunk tank and all sorts of fun.  It was one of those activites where I love living in a small town.  It was a fun, low stress activity.

Fourth of July

We celebrated our Independence!

These pictures are from the fun parade we watched on our way to celebrate the Fourth of July with Grandma and Grandpa.  What we didn't get pictures of was the awesome firework display we watched from camping chairs in the back of Grandpa big truck.  We watched them close to a tower which the boys name "The Bad Guy Tower."  I can never call it anything else again!
