Santa

Adam's Dad gave the boys a present early this year.  They love it!

Santa came to our branch Christmas party.  Kael was so happy to see him.  The best part was how he repeatedly introduced Santa to his Grammy, and introduced Grammy to "his" Santa.  When Santa got back into his "Papa suit" at home Kael gave him maybe one long look and then said.  Hi Poppa.  The secret lives for one more year!

Thank you Mom and Dad!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving.  The food was wonderful and the company was even better!  Below are some of the activities where we took pictures.  Some of he things we didn't get pictures of include a fabulous dinner, sledding behind a 4-wheeler which Kael called the motorcycle sled and he loved it!  We played a fun knew game called Jungle Speed, did some black Friday shopping, decorated a Christmas tree, and sang carols.

Out of the cold and reading the paper with Grandpa!

Dancing  to a juke box with Aunt Kristy
and walking in a winter wonderland!

Visited a spinning store! (kael-ism)

Thankful for ... Snow!

I usually don't feel ready for Christmas until after Thanksgiving but this year we have 5 inches of snow and feezing tempertures. I just feel ready for Christmas a little bit early!

In an effort to not forget Thanksgiving I am thankful for Snow but more specifically how much fun little boys have in the snow.

Silas likes to eat the snow.  It is a lot of work to bundle him up for the 5 minutes that he enjoys it.  And the only pictures/video of him in the snow is of him crying.  He prefers to be in my arms while out in the freezing cold, which is smart cause I know how to carry him in super fast if ye gets too cold!

Barak really loves it when Kael plays in the snow with him.  Every boy needs a puppy!

Happy Birthday Baby Silas!

I  can't believe he is already one year old!  This little boy knows how to be funny.  He frequently crawls away at top speed while giggling and then turns around just to see if I will follow.  And when I do follow his little feet and legs move so fast, he then laughs so hard that "splat" he is on his belly on the floor because who can laugh and crawl at top speed at the same time?  Silas knows that pillows are fun; whenever he sees one he raises both arms, timbers over from his knees, and buries in his face.

Silas knows how to hug.  He just wraps his arms around and rests his head, it is so sweet.  He knows that his daddy is awesome.  If I am holding him, Adam is the only one he will reach for with out-stretched arms. He can say "Dada" quite well.  If  Silas is with me when I sneak into my room while Adam is sleeping he will say "Dada" quietly.

Silas loves to watch his brother.  He will giggle with delight when he sees his brother run past.

Silas can say "hot," "hat," and I am starting to think that baba means ball.

I love this little boy!

Can you see what is peculiar about this picture?

Incredible Birthday!

For Kael's 3rd Bithday we had a costume party with Kael's friend Penelope who's also has an October birthday.  All the kids dressed up and we had spider cup cakes, mummy hot dogs, witch's brew rootbeer and all sorts of fun!  Kael had been talking about his party for at least a month and he was so excited.

I woke up to the sound of him opening his presents and had to shout from my bed, "wait for me! I want to see you open your presents!"

Kael dressed up as Dash from the Incredibles, and Silas dressed as Jack Jack.  All day he called me Elasta-girl and his Dad Mr. Incredible.
 Incredible Boys!
I think Silas is thinking, "why did she set me down in the freezing cold grass?"
Run Fast Like Dash!
Adam was able to come and help at the party and what a fabulous help he was!  He took all the pictures, watched Silas and was his amazing self!
We had a costume parade so that we could see all of the kids wonderful costumes.
