Birthday Fun

If you're gonna turn 30 it might as well be fun and my Birthday was FUN!  My twin sister and parents came up to visit.  We ate yummy shrimp and delicious birthday cake, visited a couple of quilting stores and played outside in the sunshine.

Ever since I moved to one the windiest places in the world I have wanted a clothes line.  I love the smell of sheets fresh off the line.  For my birthday, my Dad welded me the most perfect clothes line.  I have been enjoying my fresh smelling laundry ever since!  Well, until the snow storm stuck yesterday!  My boys love running in between the items on the line!

For St. Patrick's Day we made a rainbow out of fruit with with Rollo's as the gold at the end of the rainbow!   I saw on pinterest!

The boys wore their green shirts that say, "Kiss me, I'm a wee bit Irish!"

I Promise I've been up to Something!

My Dad came up for a visit to help us tear apart our old, ugly unusable fireplace.  Underneath the slate we discovered tons and tons of brick which meant more work for Adam, my Dad and the two great friends who helped us tear it apart.  It was a dusty, dirty mess.  Thank you Dad!

I finally finished the boys train quilts!  I had them open them up on Valentines day!  I think they like having their own big-boy blanket.

We woke up one morning to a skiff of snow so we made a snowman. We basically removed all the snow from our yard and shaped it into a Viking snowman! Silas was the tough one and loved being outside in the cold so much I had to drag him inside when we were done.

Another day we enjoyed a drippy spot with umbrellas!

When I was a kid we would always turn our stairs into a slide, SO... I took a mattress and set it up on the stairs.  Needless to say, the boys loved it!
