I Promise I've been up to Something!

My Dad came up for a visit to help us tear apart our old, ugly unusable fireplace.  Underneath the slate we discovered tons and tons of brick which meant more work for Adam, my Dad and the two great friends who helped us tear it apart.  It was a dusty, dirty mess.  Thank you Dad!

I finally finished the boys train quilts!  I had them open them up on Valentines day!  I think they like having their own big-boy blanket.

We woke up one morning to a skiff of snow so we made a snowman. We basically removed all the snow from our yard and shaped it into a Viking snowman! Silas was the tough one and loved being outside in the cold so much I had to drag him inside when we were done.

Another day we enjoyed a drippy spot with umbrellas!

When I was a kid we would always turn our stairs into a slide, SO... I took a mattress and set it up on the stairs.  Needless to say, the boys loved it!

Oh OH OHHHH, I can't wait to see you all so soon! I loved sliding down the stairs as a kid, wasn't it fun? And the the quilts look AMAZING!!!!! What I great idea giving them to them on Valentine's Day. What a disaster your basement must look like right now. I bet you'll be glad to get it all cleaned up.

Those gymnatics matas Dad got at an auction were great for a lot of things, especially a slide. I think Josh, Jeremy and Daryl Price first discovered that use.
The quilts are so fun!

You are so productive. You've inspired me to finish putting my house to bed!

My kids love to slide down the stairs in their sleeping bags. And on the crib mattress. I draw the line at them sliding in laundry baskets (They almost tried that once.).
