Youth Hike

Yesterday, Kael and I tagged along on a youth hike to Rockwell Falls in Glacier. It was a pretty short hike to a fabulous waterfall.

Kael was a perfect angel the entire day. My friend Ariel carried him in the hiking backpack, and I pointed out mountains, trees, flowers, etc. Kael loved looking around and saying the names of everything and everyone. We couldn't of asked for a more perfect day.

Once we got to the waterfall, Kael would yell "Timber" at the falling water. I took him to the edge of the water so that he could dip his feet in the icy, glacial water. He was so silly; he would hold on to both of my hands with his legs piked up, then I would dangle him over the water, he would stick his feet in until the were to cold to handle it and longer and then pull is toes out!

This is a picture of us at the destination. Look at that HUGE grin!

This is our friend Ariel jumping into the waterfall. It is very deep water underneath the waterfall and the Youth loved it even though it was freezing cold. And No, I did not jump in.

Summer Squash

This year we bought a new home, but we didn't have enough time to plant a garden. Despite our lack of garden, we are enjoying the summer harvest because so many people have given us yummy zucchini, summer squash, green beans and sugar snap peas. What good friends!

This evening I fixed a fresh garden stir fry for dinner. Kael really enjoyed the preparation!

Extra! Extra!

We have some awesome, extra help around the Young house right now! My cousin Amy is visiting and completely spoiling Kael with attention.
In the morning Kael will wake up and run around the house yelling for AAAMMMYYY! It is so cute. Kael is constantly concerned about her whereabouts.

Barak also loves Amy. She will pet him and play fetch with tennis balls, and anyone who has a dog knows that they always enjoy some extra attention!

We've Been Busy!

In the middle of June we bought our first home! Hurray! I don't have pictures of it yet because I want to get at least half of the boxes put away so the pictures actually show what the house looks like. We've been having too much fun to unpack. A few days after we moved in my sister visited from Japan and we went camping with all the kids and Grandma and Grandpa. It was a blast! Kael loved throwing rocks in the river, he would throw two hands at a time. Shortly after spending time with my sister, Kael and I went to Billings to spend time with Grammy and Papa while Adam flew to New Mexico for a two week training course.

Kael and I walked around the Billings temple and took pictures.

Grammy took us to the water park.

And them Adam returned from training and we all went out to shoot his Dad's birthday present.

Our good friends from Arizona are moving to our town and they took a brake from their house hunting trip to drive through Glacier. This bear is outside one of the gift shops.

Kael loves his Daddy!

Kael really enjoyed driving by the waterfalls. When we would pass them he would yell
for water because he wanted to see more water outside the window. I remember driving this road as a kid and really loving the waterfalls too!
