A Weekend with My Family

My twin sister and I celebrated our birthday this past week so we decided to meet at my parents house. We had a fabulous time visiting all of the places we love most like the chocolate-candy store (the Parrot) and the hot springs swimming pool. But most of all we enjoyed spending time with each other!
I knit this scarf for my sister and I actually finished it before she left for home!

I guess it is time.

I heard Kael yelling, "bombs away" while jumping from the pile of clean laundry that has accumulated on my living room couch. He was referring to the massive heap as a volcano. I guess it is time to fold the laundry.

Riding in Style!

After being in church all morning, Kael was not easily convinced to go inside. While watching him play outside I was taking pictures of him on his "Big Lightning McQueen." I was reminded of some other pictures I took a few years ago of a boy on a similar red 4-wheeler!

The similarities are amazing!!

This weekend we painted "just like Micawber" - a book about a squirrel who visits a museum and learns how to paint with his tail. While painting Kael was talking about making pictures for his Grandparents. He decided that "we need to buy some more Grandma and Grandpa at the store. " Now understand this is a huge compliment because he only says that we should buy his favorite things at the store. Usually things that he wants that we are without, thus Grandma and Grandpa. I think it is about time to take a trip!

48 degrees so we went Outside!

In northern Montana at the end of February, the littlest bit of warmth feel like a "tropical heat wave!" I pushed the boys in the stroller while I went for a short run and then we ended at the park! I think little boys were meant to be outside. Once we arrived back at home Kael still wasn't ready to come inside; I swear he could stay outside all day as long as his fingers wouldn't get cold and he wouldn't step in puddles!

Movie Time!

Mostly we've either been staying out of the cold or braving the cold while dressed in all our warmest clothes. We have an awesome sledding hill a few blocks from our house that Kael absolutely loves. I wrapped up Silas in the in the Moby wrap and bundled up Kael, then I pulled Kael the few blocks on his "Big Lighting McQueen." Kael can spot the sledding hill from the car when we drive past it. He loves sledding.

Here are some pictures of all of us bundles up!

Here is a glimpse at our life when we are not outside sledding.

My Life is SO FUN!

I have been thinking that I need to write down most of the things that Kael says. He can truly express whatever he is thinking and it so fun to hear what he has to say.
Yesterday at church he had to go pee right before the sacrament. So in an effort to help him hurry I told him that they were going to pass the bread soon, "so hurry!" He did hurry and then as he was bolting out of the bathroom and down the hall he yelled, "I want a sandwich!" To Kael, bread constitutes a sandwich, It doesn't need to have anything else.
He frequently will ask our 130lb puppy, "what's up Barak?"
He loves it when I sing the Spiderman song to him and he is starting to know the words. Thank goodness i found some other Spiderman pajamas on clearance for $5. He was still wearing the 12 month size pair. The funny part is that he has never even seen Spiderman. He just knows that it is cool!

I'm gonna jump really high in the sky!
"Mommy, you jump on my potty!" I did but it didn't look nearly as cool."I have to go get my spikey ball!"
"Wow! that's a really Big ball!"
Kael frequently tells us... "Mommy, I love you." "Daddy, I love you." "I love my brother."

We are so lucky to have these wonderful little boys!
