We took a drive

This morning we all piled in the car!  First we stopped at the store to pick out a snack and then we headed out to see all the places Adam talks about that I have never seen.  Adam works in the best office ever.  It is filled with all manner of wild life and aging buildings and equipment that must have had great stories to tell.  We saw deer, badgers, gophers, rabbits, pheasants and a HUGE bald eagle. We also saw some of Adam's favorite landmarks.

This is an amazing old barn.  When we asked Kael what he thought it was he said, "a store."  Honestly, stores are the only buildings he has really seen that are this big.

This is the loft of the barn.  I think it is amazing!

Kael and I got out and hiked around for a little bit.

Old wagon wheels.

Awesome orange rock.

Winter melting into spring.

Having a Ball!

Last week we went to a Childrens Fair.  The ball cage was absolutely the favorite.  The below picture was in our hometown paper!

I took these pictures a week later when Adam decided that he wanted a pit of balls for the boys because they enjoyed it so much.

Kael said, " These are helmets for my fingers!"

he was lost but now he's found

Silas loves his ducky.  Last Tuesday his ducky was lost.  I could not find it anywhere: I looked in all the toy boxes and under every bed.  I even ran out in the snow to check in the trunk of the tricycle on the front lawn. No Ducky.

On Thursday the boys and I went to Pamida and amid all the Easter basket fillers was a pretty cute ducky.  Now, Silas is in no way dependant on his ducky to sleep or be calm or anything, but I missed his ducky because it was just so cute to see him hug it, carry it around, and say "ducky!"  So I bought the substitute ducky and he liked it pretty well.

Then, Today!   Kael knew I had been looking for the ducky, so when he opened up the trunk to his Lightening McQueen he ran right over and told me he'd "found the ducky!"  These pictures are from a few moments afterwards.

This is the real ducky!

Moments from my week

Silas just loves waking up to soft, fuzzy, friends in his crib.  He gives them the most adorable hugs and hangs onto them until I get him out in the morning!

Fruit boquet for a young womens activity.  I must say this one turned out better than my first attemp.  One of the young women suggested using parsley as a filler.  I did and it looks so much better!

These two sweethearts where my helpers! ;)

This is the frost formation on the railing this morning.  Doesn't it look like a brutal weapon of some sort.
