park and camping
We had such a great week. At the beginning we had a fun photography session at the park. It was a perfectly cloudy and I couldn't resist. Then we went to a branch camp out to a beautiful and lovely location right up against the rocky mountains. The boys loved hanging out around the tent and campfire and then the next morning we played at the lake just a short distance away! It was tons of fun!

Good morning!
My kids are so happy in the morning. I've been trying to fit in some fun thinking activities in the morning. Last week we set up some blocks and Kael called it a maze. They had a blast, especially once the race cars came out.
Silas was so funny! He thought it was hysterical to run from me when I was trying to take his picture.
We bought 20 lbs of cherries and Kael helped be pit some of them. Is was a very messy job, but doesn't he look cute in pink Hawaiian print?

Productive Week despite the ATTACK!
At the end of this week we were attacked by the flu but I still managed to get a few things done!
I got to pick my first ripe cherry tomato and I picked some nanking cherries with a friend. I quickly ate the cherry tomato and it was delicious. I made jam out of the nanking cherries and it turned out beautiful and yummy! I also canned 8 quarts and 16 pints of pickles!
It is amazing to me how the same flu virus can affect each kid differently. Both spent a night puking but the next morning Silas was ready to play and Kael cat-napped all day. Kael took a nap outside on the trampoline with the sunshine on him and it reminded me of what I used to do as a kid when I was sick. I swear sunshine heals. Both are finally feeling better.

Glacier
This last weekend Mom and Dad drove up and we all visited Glacier National Park together. It was amazing and beautiful - as is evidenced by the numerous below pictures!
The mist off of Virginia Falls was So Cool. :)
Kael really enjoyed climbing on the rocks around St. Mary's Falls. It made the rest of us a little nervous, but he was smart and stayed a good distance from the edge.
We stopped to dip our toes into the river where we had an amazing view of the Virginia Falls.
Silas got out of the back pack and hiked for a while. He loved it! He would jump and pick up sticks along the way.

Cousin's Wedding
I didn't get any pictures of my cousin (the bride) at the wedding, but I did get some fun photos of the kids. It was a beautiful ceremony. Everything was perfectly summer-esque and full of fresh flowers. My favorite part happened the instant the bride appeared and the wind picked up just enough to scatter cotton from the cotton trees. It created a perfect atmosphere for a brides procession.
