Silas Preston Young

Twice now, I have gone to get an amniocentesis, to see if the babies lungs are developed, and ended up having the baby that day! This is a picture of the beautiful room that I spent time in before and after the birth of Silas Preston Young.

Here is Adam in his scrubs which he had to where in the operating room. It was so cool to have Adam there and to be awake during the surgery.

Silas had to spend a day in the NICU because of some low blood sugars but he is doing perfect now. The NICU was also a new, beautiful part of the hospital with quiet, private rooms and wonderful nurses.

Then we finally got to have him in the room with us!

The hospital has these adorable little hats for each baby, that I am sure some sweet ladies make and donate!

Silas is such a sweet, good baby!

We got to take him home! Hurray! Kael received a marble track from baby Silas as a present. He loves it!

My Boys!!!

He is so fast! Can't you just see the speed in this picture?

The Toughest Cowboy!

We checked out a book at the library with awesome pictures titled "The Toughest Cowboy."

It really helped to make Kael excited about being the "toughest" cowboy for Halloween. The truth is that Kael really is tough! He had a fun Halloween.

Adam's Hunting Trip!

This is Adams goodbye kiss before he left to go hunting! This is his deer in the field where he got it: Tyrannosaurus Butte (named because the shape of the hills look like a tyrannosaurus rex footprint!) Adam shot it from 350 yards above the left shoulder and the bullet went through the heart. Here is Adam cutting off the fur.Adam named him Bruce and although Kael thought the deer was interesting he didn't touch it and was happy to repeat his father when he said that deer meat is yummy. Our friend helped Adam learn how to get off every last piece of meat. Here is the stuff that is good enough for the freezer and we have a whole bunch more that Adam is in the process of turning into jerky!

Kael's Birthday!!

Last week Kael celebrated his second birthday. When asked how old he is, he actually responds "two!" most of the time! We had a joint birthday party with a girl who turned three the same week. Our friend made an awesome "dinosauras rex" cake as kael called it! He loved hearing all of the kids sing Happy Birthday!

A Steam Engine Rolled into Town!

At the last minute we were informed that a steam engine would be stopping by our little town. We live in a train town, which is perfect for little boys. Kael is constantly pointing out the train to me and mimicking the "Whoo whoo" of the train that can be heard from anywhere in town.

We were at the train station when this steam engine came rolling in and all Kael would say was, "noisy!" He was right it was SO loud!

Here is my 34 week preganant Belly! In someways I feel like a train too! Just not as noisy!
