hang on!

I took this picture with  my phone and for some reason it says it ts too large to send to anyone via text.  I think it is SO adorable, therefore I had to show Silas' smile to everyone since I couldn't text it!

And yes... sometimes you just have to hang on and the weather will change.  We got to soak up some sunshine at 59 degrees today!

Relentless Winter

First of all I would like to apologize to all who live in my small town. Apparently is going to stay cold until I finish the blankets I am trying to make for the boys bedroom.  The weather must know that I will never finish the project if it is nice enought to play outside.  I am sooooo sorry, but I am working on them as fast as I can! ;)

We are running out of ideas for inside activities, but here are a couple of our constant favorites.

Eating is always a good way to spend our time and olives are super fun!
We love the marble track.

A few times in the past three weeks the temperature has dared to rise 15-20 degrees above zero.  We have tried to sieze those precious opportunites and run outside!

"Mom, It is IMPORTANT to sleep in bunk beds."

That is what Kael said last week when we finally started working on the bunk beds again.

Adam's Dad helped us makes them last fall and then the holiday's hit and we didn't get anything more completed.  All we needed to finish was the sanding and varnishing.  We finally did it and the boys love them!

The Awesomest Neighbors Ever!

Need i say more!  We went to visit our neighbors this afternoon and came home like all face painted!  Kael sat so still. And loved making dragon roars.  Silas  grinned for the camera like the pro he is!

Horsin' Around

It was below zero all of last week.  I had to gather all my courage to just do the grocery shopping. Needless to say we've been spending a lot of time inside the house. One day last week I saw the above in the fridge and the funny thing is that I new exactly why it was in the fridge! The race car (named Boost) changes with hot and cold water, but also turns purple in the fridge if cold water is unaccessable.  Why the stuffed moose you ask? Well Boost is towing the moose with a ribbon tow chain.  They have been flying around my house the last few days.

My life is happy even in the FREEZING cold.
(I've been playing with the adobe creative suite that I recieved as a gift for christmas. I will get better as I learn!)

O Come all Ye Faithful

I wanted to post this before it got too late into the year.  Happy 2011!
