Happy Thanksgiving!

I am extremely grateful for my family and the opportunity to spend the Thanksgiving Holiday with them!

Life of Pie!

Pumpkin Pie!
The boys helped me make pumpkin pie from the one and only pumpkin we grew in our garden.  They loved the whole process.  We ate the pie on Thanksgiving Eve and enjoyed it thoroughly!

Neck Ties, Mustaches, and Turkeys!

What do all these things have in common?

Last week Adam's sister and I started sewing these adorable neck-ties for little guys!

Adam grew a beard while he was off work for a few days and then while in the process of shaving he took a moment to pose for an interesting mustache photograph!

All summer long I collected the prettiest pine cones and stored them away for crafts.  We finally used some of them in these three silly pine cone turkey's.

Terrific Two!

Silas just turned Two!  This little boy amazes me every day! I think I can truly say he was potty trained before his second birthday.  I wasn't going to potty train him but he just seemed ready.  He was super interested so we just took the big leap and he is doing fantastic.

He just kept blowing until he figured it out and he blew out his own candels.  After his big brothers birthday, I asked him what he wanted on his birthday cake and he said, "a moon!"  I asked him again and sure enough that is exactly what he wanted.  We visited grammy and papa and they were nice enough to make him exactly the cake he wanted.  He loved it!

This is the boys cousin who is crazy about Adam.  We visited them for Silas's birthday too!

Silas is the happiest boy I know.  He is so good natured, so understanding, and incredibly patient.  It is hard to imagine so much personality trapped in that little body!  He is an amazing boy!

I did it!

I asked the boys what they wanted on the pumpkin.  I gave them ideas such as a ghost, a witch or a jack-o-lantern face and of course they wanted a......

Can you tell what it is?

I got the picture from a pumpkin pattern online and it was the pretty tricky for me, but I did it!

Kael is Four!

Kael just turned four and I feel like I can't remember life without him!  What a fun kid! He is sooo full of words and is able to effectively express his feeling into words.  Sometimes a little too well. :)  He really has quite an imagination.  Lately we've been pretending to be different animals, a puppy is the most frequent and I think it is my fault.  A while ago I was out of cups for the kids to drink out of (because I really needed to do dishes) so i asked them if they would like to drink out of a bowl like a puppy, well it was tons of fun therefore Kael loves being a puppy!

Kael also loves to sing and even more grand is making up his own words to familiar tunes.  Recently he has been singing, "Twinkle, twinkle little star, how I wonder what you had for lunch."  He thinks it is hilarious and so much fun.

Kaels memory continues to amaze me.  We will read a book once and the next time he can finish some of the sentences.  We've been reading some really fun Halloween books and his favorites so far are: "Room on the Broom,"  because the animals yell, "Watch out bud that's our witch,"  and "One Halloween Night"  I think because of the magic wand!

Kael loves to play games any kind and every kind.  He just recieved Don't Break the Ice for his birthday and I am pretty sure he could play it all day if I could set it up all day!

Here are some pictures of the birthday party we had for him on Friday!  We just had a few friends over and had a Diego Party!  The weather was perfect so they jumped on the trampoline, were led through an animal rescue, ate lunch and devoured Diego Ice Cream cake out of ice cream cones!
