Sunday Afternoon

I put Adam's belt on Kael and he asked, "should you take a picture?" so of course I said "absolutely!"Any reason to smile is a good one for Silas!Kael kept asking me to play t-ball this afternoon. The first few times I thought he was saying table and I had no idea how to play table until I said sure lets play and he started to walk out the door. Ohhhhh, T-ball!He is so close to crawling, he gets up in position and just holds it until he builds up the courage to move an arm and then either tips, flipping him to his back, or takes a nose dive.Yup, he picked one of my tulips. Thank goodness I have a vase so that I can still enjoy looking at it, just inside now!Yes, he picked two tulips and showed them to his brother.I love this picture because it shows how much Silas loves to watch his big brother. Yesterday I was holding Silas up to the edge of the bathtub while Kael was being silly in the bath and Silas just kept watching and laughing at him. They were have a great, fun, silly time!

Hello Muddah...

Kael has become quite the singer. Sometimes I will catch him singing songs to himself, typically he will sing Once there was a Snowman, Be Strong, Book of Mormon Stories, and others. One little boy in nursury always says "da da da da " while he runs and Kael did that one day and then informed be that it is "Devi-do's song." Kael also loves it when I make up songs for him. He will request "the Daddy song," which goes something like " na na na na na naaaaa your dad rocks and he rolls," (repeat).

Below is a fun video of him singing/reciting a book we checked out from the library.

Story Time!

One of the treasures of my small town is the library! Once a week the boys and I head to story time!
We listen to a few of our librarians favorite children's book. She is amazing - she knows so many books and can read the stories with just the right enthusiasm. Kael thinks she is Great!
We do an art project and have a little snack.
Silas enjoys everyone smiling and ooo-ing and aaahhh-ing over him.

Before we leave we looks through all the books and check out a few. Recently a few of our favorites are Melvin Might, Sergio Plays Soccer, and Sergio Makes a Splash.

Drum Roll Please!

Adam and I (with our powers combined) created this awesome base drum for Kael - he loves it.

Silas has been perfecting his rolling technique. The most important step being his arm. It is necessary for him to move his arm underneath his torso in order to end up on his back, but he is still hung up on it sometimes. He will spend a good amount of time driving his bum into air and twist but he will stay there until that arm is moved. It is kinda fun and a little funny to watch!

Egg- cellent!

When I was a kid we would make rice crispy treats shaped like eggs, and now it would'nt feel like Easter if we didn't make a few. Kael also dyed some real eggs and he loves to eat them, except the middle yolk which Barak is happy to help him eat!
